I didn’t get President Wixom’s use of Mother Theresa as an example. So Mother Theresa overcame her faith crisis and concluded that her church was true (and thus implicitly that the Mormon church isn’t true)? How does that help provide a good example for Mormons struggling with doubt about the Mormon church?

The panel had similar thoughts, actually, but they got left on the cutting room floor when I edited. It doesn’t make sense in a “one true church” narrative.

President Wixom’s talk wasn’t very clear about it, but from what I’ve read about Mother Teresa, her faith crisis never resolved. She just kept pushing forward with the work she was doing anyhow. Even at the end, she wasn’t sure if God existed. I think she was horribly used by the Catholic Church.
