Always helpful to come back here for a reality check after spending the hours being lulled away with apathetic conference babble. Love the Lord, yada yada, attend the temple, yada yada, pay us more tithes and offerings, yada yada yada. Thanks so much, you guys!

    What about Priesthood session?

Don’t you care about the women’s session Marc?!?!?! ;^) I kid, I kid. Priesthood and Women’s reviews will both be up next Wednesday.

But alas, General Womens’ Meeting is NOT an official session of conference even though it was announced as such. The subsequent sessions on Sat, Sun were announced as 1st through 5th. Just saying!

Yet another example of how disjointed and ad hoc the Leadership has become. A power-vacuum exists now that TSM is losing his iron-clad grip due to both delirium and dementia.

Subtle signs of trouble: No new temples announced for two consecutive conferences, no leadership callings/releases, and an OVEREMPHASIS on the numbers 15,000,000 and 88,000.

Methinks the ‘good ship Zion’ has been struck in the rudder by a well-aimed torpedo!

If it’s all yada, yada, yada…..why listen? Don’t you have something better to do with your time?

What business is of yours how they spend their time?

Don’t YOU have anything better to do with YOUR time than post snotty comments on something YOU don’t appreciate?

        Irony much?

Actually, It’s a valid question. Why spend time on something I don’t believe in any longer? The truth is that I spend A LOT of time behind the wheel or the keyboard, so I occupy my mind with podcasts of all types, not just Mormonism.

Before I moved beyond Momonism, I disfavored listening to GC as it always gave me large guilt trips. But now that I NO LONGER buy into their claims of authority over me and have realized the sham I was born and raised into, it fascinates me to no end! I love to hear analysis of how and why we bought into those untruths as it gives me better insight into my own psychie and inner-motivations.

Listening to those self-deluded old curmudgeons contradict themselves, each other, and circumvent the truth is truly entertaining. Heck, I may go back and listen to GC again now that Heather et al have expounded on the lunacy, some of which I failed to appreciate the first time!
