52b: October 2013 General Conference Sunday Sessions

Matt and Clay host reviews of the Sunday sessions of General Conference. Panelists include: Jonee, Chris, Scott, and Mike T (but not that Mike T).

Great reviews. Oaks talk, concerning why men aren’t committing to marriage. Many younger men don’t see any advantage to marriage. In japan they call them “grass eaters” or MGTOWS or “Men that go their own way”. In the states there is a man’s rights moment that is pushing back against the feminist movement. Lots of videos on utube. Another view on the dynamics between men and women..

One of the panelist metioned uchtdorf mormons as the new progressive eastern democrat mormons. Just as an FYI, Uchtdorf is registered independant, but voted in the republican primary so you get an idea of where he stands politically.

      Sourcing this out for you:

“The four politically unaffiliated apostles are the governing First Presidency’s second counselor, Dieter F. Uchtdorf; and David A. Bednar, Quentin L. Cook and D. Todd Christofferson, of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles.

Uchtdorf — who was born in the Czech Republic and only recently became a U.S. citizen — did, however, register as a Republican to vote in the primary this year and then changed his registration back to unaffiliated.”

I too would like to bear my testimony that instead of tolerating and justifying all the horrible teachings of the Mormon prophets, seers, and revelators, you should seriously consider the very probable non-existence of God. The world will suddenly make a hell of a lot more sense. In the name of really bad conference talks, amen.
